Running Gait Analysis

Do you run properly, enjoying the exhilarating feeling that running well can bring? And stay injury free?

We get you running safely and to your maximum potential. We begin by analysing your running gait, starting with seven simple, non-stressful movements. The results tell us which muscles are not working and so inhibiting the range of motion of your legs and hips.

From this running analysis, we isolate and strengthen muscles that are over-active or shortened and/or tight, and then ‘add’ them to your existing hip and leg movement (sometimes called the ‘firing sequence’). We get you on a specialised piece of equipment that targets inactive hip and thigh muscles. Specific stretches are part of our correction program too.

The whole process is a bit like pumping up the tyres on a bike, which results in your going further and faster with less effort and danger of injury.

What our clients say

A few months ago I fell, leaving me fearful of a more serious fall. I began to take hesitant steps, like old people do. Then I started to train at Positive Edge and now that fear has gone. I am dashing across roads, taking stairs two at a time. I have peace of mind and a new lease on life. And a smaller waistline!
